Housed in a compact 23 x 23 mm package, this “full-stack” solution allows manufacturers to transport HDMI 2.0 4K 4:4:4 video, audio, and control data over standard 1GbE networks. It is specifically engineered for high-volume production, offering a cost-effective path to building professional-grade, interoperable media devices.

Key Features and Capabilities

The ME10 stands out for its balance of performance and efficiency. By utilizing JPEG-XS compression, the chip achieves sub-frame latency, making it ideal for demanding environments like live production or interactive desktop applications. Security is also a priority, with integrated AES128 encryption for secure data transmission. To assist developers, Macnica provides a dedicated development kit and extensive documentation to accelerate time-to-market for new products.

Understanding the IPMX Standard

A core strength of the ME10 is its alignment with IPMX (Internet Protocol Media Experience). Developed by AIMS, IPMX is a suite of open standards based on SMPTE ST 2110.
