Innatera Brings Physical AI to MWC Shanghai 2026

Innatera Brings Physical AI to Life at MWC Shanghai 2026

Showcasing ultra-low-power neuromorphic intelligence for smart homes, robotics, AI wearables, and the next generation of intelligent sensing devices

Shanghai, China – June 22, 2026 – Innatera, the leader in neuromorphic processors for the sensor edge, today announced its participation at MWC Shanghai 2026, where the company will showcase how a new era of compute is enabling Physical AI. As China accelerates investment in intelligent devices, smart spaces, AI wearables, robotics, and on-device intelligence, the next competitive frontier moves beyond larger AI models to more efficient intelligence at the point where the physical world is sensed.

As OEMs and ODMs look to bring always-on, context-aware experiences to one of the world’s fastest-growing markets, demand is growing for ultra-low-power AI that can operate directly on-device. At MWC Shanghai, Innatera will showcase the Joya EdgeCore AI Audio Module, developed by Joya Design, an Innatera customer, and powered by the commercially available Pulsar neuromorphic microcontroller.

This is the first end-side AI, multimodal, lightweight audio solution – the Baby Cry Translator – designed specifically to address the challenge of understanding infant cries. It provides a complete closed-loop system from cry collection, recognition, translation, to actionable suggestions, empowering consumers with science-based parenting support.

“Across China, we are seeing a clear shift from connected products to truly intelligent products,” says Liao Ke, Chairman of Joya Design. “Manufacturers are looking for solutions that can deliver responsive, context-aware experiences within strict power constraints. Innatera’s neuromorphic approach opens up exciting new possibilities for the next generation of smart devices.”

At the heart of Innatera’s showcase is Pulsar, the world’s first mass-market neuromorphic microcontroller for the sensor edge. Commercially available today, Pulsar enables ultra-low-power AI for applications including audio intelligence, presence detection, gesture recognition, and contextual sensing. Supporting deployment is Talamo SDK, Innatera’s software development kit, which helps developers build, optimize, and bring neuromorphic AI applications to market faster.

“China is one of the most important markets in the world for the future of intelligent sensing,” says Shreyas Derashri, Chief Commercial Officer at Innatera. “The speed at which companies here are moving from AI concepts to real products is remarkable, and it creates a major opportunity for a new class of compute. We are not here to talk about distant possibilities. We are here with commercially available technology, customer collaborations, and a clear ambition to help companies build the next generation of intelligent products.”

About Innatera

Innatera enables the world’s sensor data to be processed as soon as it is captured, directly at the source. Incorporated in 2018 as a spin-off from the Delft University of Technology, it develops a line of neuromorphic processors that mimic the mechanisms the brain uses for processing sensory data. Using a radically new computing architecture that is massively more efficient than conventional technologies, its chips enable breakthrough physical AI capabilities even in devices powered by small batteries. Innatera’s technology makes intelligence pervasive for a smarter, safer, and cleaner world.

Innatera is backed by leading European deep-tech investors and aims to bring intelligence to a billion devices by 2030.
